How to efficiently operate in tactical edge environments.

Nexium Defence Cloud Edge is a proven, secure mission-ready solution that enables joint force and coalition operations to operate effectively, in a disconnected environment at the tactical edge.

Today’s military requires supporting capabilities and solutions that allow them to rapidly react to emerging threats on the global stage. The vast variety of missions undertaken, and mission partners involved adds additional complexities and requirements including agility, interoperability, alignment to multiple security frameworks and the ability to operate in some of the most challenging environments across the globe.

Nexium Defence Cloud Edge from Thales is an innovative, integrated capability utilising sovereign Australian products and partners that delivers mission-ready technologies and tools. With integration provided by industry, the time to deliver and risk profile attached to large scale transformation projects is drastically reduced and provides greater value and benefit realisation.

Myriad Technologies is proud to play a crucial role in this consortium, providing the data fabric and automation capabilities available within S2IX.

“Myriad Technologies and S2IX are proud to play a major part in delivering a new world-class C4ISR capability in partnership with Thales. Our product delivers the data fabric capabilities for the Thales Nexium Combat Cloud platform.

S2IX was born and bred in the battlespace. Developed over 10+ years while supporting military  activities here in Australia and driving innovation in the way defence operates on a global scale.”

Perry Smith, Strategic Partner Manager, Myriad Technologies

S2IX is uniquely designed to allow organisations requiring strict adherence to security frameworks to exchange data across security boundaries and denied, disrupted, intermittent and limited environments. Being able to replicate data from any endpoint such as sensors and ISR data between environments for analysis and integrate it with other lines of business platforms such as battle management systems we provide the routing and exchange capabilities to provide information superiority and enhanced decision making. Security is applied to each object and data point, balancing the need to know with the need to share at all layers of command and control.

S2IX automation is extensive, beginning with the build of environments aligned to any defined profile required such as mission type, area of operation or single, joint and coalition forces use. These profiles, or schemas in S2IX parlance, template the entire environment including services, composite applications, LOB applications and security. This allows mission environments to be built and made available at mission speeds for any need. Automation capabilities are also available at the data layer – as data is ingested and exchanged, automation can be applied to enforce or automate business processes and notifications, reducing the cognitive load on users to identify anomalies and actionable intel.

Working together with Thales and Microsoft to bring this capability from Australia to a global stage is a major milestone for Myriad Technologies, combined with the recent announcement of being named a finalist in the 2021 Microsoft Partner of the Year awards and our ongoing engagement within the defence community globally.
